I Cant Be In The Same Party With Bukola Saraki- Vice Chancellor

Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, has directed all his supporters to immediately relinquish their membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His action was prompted by the political situation in Kwara State, “which allows looters of our treasury to find their way back to PDP,” he said.

In a statement he issued on Wednesday in Ilorin, Abdulraheem vowed that he would never be in the same political party with Senator Bukola Saraki and his supporters.
He said that, “I have also relinquished my membership of PDP immediately Senator Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed announced their defection to the PDP and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

The statement reads: “Prof. Oba Abdulraheem however rejected the posted statement credited to him on the social media that he will not quit PDP and work with Hon. Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammad. Whoever posted that trash must be out of his mind.
“Prof. Oba emphasised that Alhaji Lai Muhammad had been his good friend for more than a decade despite their different political affiliations.
“Since both of us are pursuing homogeneous objectives towards the development of Kwara State at large, definitely we can be in the same political party and work together in APC,” he said.
