Angolans protest over inflation of commodities price and other means of exploitation.

Angola Hall otherwise known as the bedrock of OAU Millitancy Hallites troop out massively early this morning to protest against the exploitation that has been growing fast in the Buttery, Afrika's Block Canteen, Barbing Salon and other business activities area in the hall.

Angolans, who have been constantly unhappy about the situation of what has been happening about these attitudes have the opportunity to exercise their franchise this morning.

Most students complained about how these business attendants increase the price of their goods even when it's not as high as that in other places on campus. The increase include the goods being sold in the buttery, the food being sold at the Afrika's Canteen Block as well as the rate at which the Barber charge the hallites for a cut.

Speaking with one of the hall resident, he narrated his experience so far in the hall. The rate at which they sell things here is too high. A bag of of pure water costs #200 which is equivalent to #10 per one which is not suppose to be so since I bought it in bulk. Their ought to be a discount.

He said despite the barber not an expert in barbing, he insisted on collecting #250 from me the day I went to have a cut. I feel sad about this because it's total exploitation.

The buttery is currently under lock for 24 hours which is equivalent to a day, the Afrika's Block Canteen for 4 Hours while the Barbing Salon for a week.

The Action committee initiated and coordinated the protest while the chairman of the hall, a person of Teepaul also joined the process.

We hope the University Management reinstate the University Students' Union very soon so that this unnecessary exploitation can become a thing of past, said by an Angolan.
