10 Students Out Of 5,752 Of Adeyemi College Of Education Have Graduated With First Class From OAU - OAU VC
The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- Ife Osun State, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede has said that 10 students of Adeyemi College of Education, (ACE), Ondo bagged first class degrees of the university in various courses of study of the university in the last four years. Of the 5,752 students of Adeyemi College of Education who bagged the degrees of OAU, which is the degree awarding institution for the College, Ogunobede said 1,436 got second class upper, 3, 078 got second class lower, 1,053 third class while 175 of them got pass. Speaking during convocation ceremony of the institution at the weekend, Ogunbodede said Adeyemi College of Education was one of the best training grounds for teachers in the country and commended the outgoing Provost, Prof Olukoya Ogen, an alumnus for bringing the institution to a world class status.
In his speech on the occasion, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu said the institution had become highly successful in various walks of life as it had produced teachers, academics, businessmen and clerics. The Minister also commended the institution for ranking number one among Colleges of Education in Nigeria in webometric ranking of 2015, 2016 and 2017.
