Religion Bigotry Should Be Avoided By The OAU Management
_Domination should not be the major equipment to oppress other beliefs_
It is very sad that the university management usually takes jaundice look at the ways and manners our lecture rooms are being used over the years for the sake of religion purpose which is against the laid down law by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC). though, class of interest is attached.
Hypocrisy apart, preference should be avoided while sparing our venues for the Christians, excuse me, what is the purpose of religion ground? .
There is no gainsay to the fact that during exam or lecture period, our lecture rooms are not meant for reading nor academic activities but religion purpose, you will hardly secure a place to read during weekend our brother and sisters in the ministry would have occupied the place.
Welcome to OAU whereby a lecturer and a pastor will be fighting over a venue that is meant for academic activities rather than religion purpose. Let be guided.
There should be a need to voice out because it kills soul, *Chem engine* lecture theatre is not sufficient for our brothers and sisters anymore to hold Sunday service but In front of Mursolah and its surroundings
So many sectors in Nigeria have condemned ways and manners Unilorin managemnt usually compell her students to adhere strictly based on Islamic ethics and ways of life.
A very good example is the imposition of hairstyle by the University of Unilorin that must be plaited by the students on campus but that of OAU is the worst I have seen, OAU demands a lot from the students in the examination hall, so a conducive environment should be available for the voracious readers .
On this note, I implore the University Management to kindly take less parochial view to preview this extremist movement on OAU campus, our University lecture rooms are not meant for religion sake but academic purpose.
